- Fatima is a New York based designer who approaches design through a curatorial lens informed by the concept of weaving, creating connections between otherwise disconnected threads.
-
As a child of expats, her upbringing was characterized by frequent relocations that introduced her to the peripheral realms of peers from around the world, whose customs, foods, and cultural nuances shaped her understanding of life. The resulting tapestry of experiences, sensitivity, and curiosity informs who she is as a designer — she collects stories, images, and meaningful objects, turning to these visual and tangible archives when researching and ideating.
- Fatima brings 8+ years of experience in interior architecture and the ability to see a project through from ideation to completion. In the past, she has worked with the offices of studiocm, Gaile Guevara, Kelly Deck and Interior Design Show before co-founding multidisciplinary design practice Casestudy Studio where she led designs across a variety of scales, from objects and publications to interior architecture and spatial installations.
